Lucky Stiff is a frolicking musical romcom full of hilarious hijinx in which English shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon agrees to take his dead uncle's corpse on vacation to Monte Carlo in hopes of winning his inheritance - which it turns out was embezzled from his uncle's girlfriend's husband. The musical farce, written by the Tony-award-winning writing team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and directed by Moonlight Theatre founder Kathy Brombacher, offers audiences a wonderful sense of escapism.

The producers of Operation Mincemeat have announced that David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zöe Roberts, the 2023 Off-West End 'Best Musical Production' award winning cast (Southwark Playhouse/ Riverside Studios), are returning for the West End transfer.

Welcome to opening night of a university drama society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything, including their lines.

This October, dare to enter the HOUSE OF THE EXQUISITE CORPSE, a horror peep-show puppet-theater anthology. Peer through keyholes, cracks, and hidden doors to discover surreal worlds that will terrify and amaze.

The show has lyrics and music by Zeca Baleiro and Newton Moreno, with musical direction by Marco França and features Cassio Scapin as the corrupt and demagogue Odorico Paraguacu, candidate for mayor of Sucupira. As there is no cemetery in the city, which forces residents to bury their dead in neighboring municipalities, the politician is elected with the slogan “Vote for a serious man and win a cemetery”!

“Swords into Flesh” follows the band’s previous releases, “Serpent Messiah”, which was released with a powerful video directed by Estevam Romera, and the album’s furious opening track  and lyric video,“Sworn Enemies”, which was created by Alcides Burn / Burn Artworks. A corpse, dogs, a heart-shaped box, and diamonds are just a few of the plot ingredients in the merry mix of mayhem and misadventure in the zany musical Lucky Stiff now being presented at the NextStop Theatre Company.  An audaciously frenetic and chaotic sense of impending disaster fills the air as a series of coincidences, mistaken identities and misconstrued intentions all collide and converge in this witty and hilarious book by Lynn Ahrens. The race to see who collects millions is the incentive for an engaging group of whacky yet endearing characters.

Washington, D.C.-based experimental pop band The North Country is pleased to present 'Born at the Right Time' the lastest press release single from EP Born at the Right Time (Exquisite Corpse). 'Born At The Right Time' is now available. The single is the follow up to 'Procrastinator' which was released last month. Plus, check out tour dates!

Last month, Bauhaus released the new song 'Drink The New Wine' which was recorded last year during lockdown with the four members sharing audio files. The track employs the Surrealists' ‘Exquisite Corpse’ device whereby each artist adds to the piece without seeing what the others have done.

The band is pleased to share 'Procrastinator' the first single to be lifted from Born at the Right Time (Exquisite Corpse). The song and official video, which was directed by The North Country's guitarist Jon Harmon, debuted today at Music Mecca and can also be shared at YouTube. The single will be available this Friday on all streaming platforms.
