Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with the following acts.

One of the most popular movie comedies of all time comes to life on stage with music & lyrics by musical icon, Dolly Parton in 9 to 5 the Musical, coming to the Whitefish Performing Arts Center April 26-28. The hit musical is based on the iconic 1980 movie listed by the American Film Institute as one of the "Top 100 Funniest Films." Set to music written by Country Music Hall of Famer, Dolly Parton, it will be performed by 30 students ages 13-18 from 6 different schools across the Flathead Valley. It is part of Alpine Theatre Project's ATP Kids theatre education program for local students.

Beginning with JESSICA MARIE FISHER'S Welcome To Narnia, to JO RODRIGUEZ'S Why We're Here, NATASHA COBB'S Doin' Good and CAROLYN MOSES' Adam's Eve; these women playwrights tackle everything from sexual abuse, identity, empowerment, careers, family and chasing Jibouti forces.

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra (CCCO), the region's newest professional orchestra, presents its debut season finale concert Folk and Gorey, on Sunday, April 14, 3 pm, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 533 Main Street, Rt. 28, Harwich Port. The orchestra is conducted by Music Director Matthew Scinto. A reception follows the concert with an opportunity to meet the musicians. Conductor Scinto, Edward Gorey House Curator Gregory Hischak and Composer-in-Residence Francis Snyder offer a pre-concert discussion at 2:15 pm.

Incoming Artistic Director Simon Godwin today announces Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2019-2020 Season. Godwin's debut season highlights his artistic aspirations for the company to create high quality, exciting, inclusive theatre. Godwin states, This is not my season, but ours, everybody's season.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced the line-up today for the 2019 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 57-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Nicolas Talar for Enzo Products Ltd and Adam Blanshay Productions have announced the full casting for Notre Dame de Paris. Twenty years after its Parisian debut, and after receiving international acclaim in 23 countries worldwide, the French musical is set to be performed at London Coliseum. The original French production in London will be performed with English surtitles and a live orchestra from Wednesday 23 Sunday 27 January 2019, with a national press night on Wednesday 23 January 2019 at 7pm. The London run will culminate with the 5,000th performance of the worldwide hit show.

Veteran comedy screenwriting partners Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel, known for such acclaimed box-office hits as Splash and Parenthood, have been named the recipients of the Writers Guild of America West's 2019 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement, presented to Guild members who have “advanced the literature of motion pictures and made outstanding contributions to the profession of the screenwriter.”

Celebrating the centennial of Alan Jay Lerner, The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, is proud to announce that its acclaimed Musicals in Mufti series will celebrate the work of the legendary librettist and lyricist Alan Jay Lerner, whose hundredth birthday was August 31, 2018.
