The first ever Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 1pm.  The purpose of the parade is to celebrate, express and bring awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community. Actor, author, civil rights activist George Takei will be the Parade’s Grand Marshall.

Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance continues its 38th anniversary season with the award-winning musical Parade. It will run February 18 through 27th at Theatre Alliance's new performing arts space at 650 W 6th Street.

In her final performance as Jenna, Waitress leading lady Jennifer Nettles performed this morning on CBS' broadcast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The pride of Camden Town will return to Southern California for the first time since Coachella 2012, when Madness overtakes the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on May 24 for a one-night-only ska/bluebeat hit parade culled from 40+ years of glorious chaos. February is generally considered one of the coldest months in New York City, but that's about to change with the arrival of The Jazz Gallery's Jazz Cubano Series. Memories of Auld Lang Syne will surely drift away a lot sooner when the polyrhythmic beats of Afro-Cuban jazz, and a parade of expats - from masters to young upstart voices, take the stage at The Jazz Gallery beginning in February and running monthly through December, 2020. The songs from the Walt Disney Records soundtrack have already amassed over 60 million streams (audio and video combined).  The cast of HSMTMTS have performed on ABC's Good Morning America and the ABC Christmas Day Parade.  The series, and its music, has garnered press coverage from cream of the crop media outlets such as People, Entertainment Tonight, Entertainment Weekly, E! As the year winds to a close, and the holiday hustle and bustle keeps us spinning our wheels, it can be a salve for the spirit and rest for the weary to sit in a darkened theater for a couple of hours. There is a plethora of seasonal fare competing for your entertainment dollars, but may I suggest something completely different from the colorful, holly jolly? A departure from the ballerinas, Christmas ghosts, and department store Santas? How about a two-time Tony Award-winning musical (1999 Best Book/Best Score) written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Alfred Uhry (DRIVING MISS DAISY) and Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown (SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, THE LAST FIVE YEARS), that will pump the blood to your heart, and push you back in your seat until the very end, when you will rise up and salute this Moonbox Productions' PARADE.

This morning, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announced the complete programming lineup for Highmark First Night Pittsburgh 2020. Starting at 6 p.m. on December 31, 2019, acclaimed local, national, and international artists will animate the Cultural District and ring in the New Year. Two Zambelli fireworks displays, the signature New Year's Eve Parade and its famed giant puppets, the 'Countdown to Midnight,' and raising of the Future of Pittsburgh Ball complete the celebration.

Jason Robert Brown's landmark musical Songs for a New World (New York City Center 2018 Encores!
