Additionally, the network will debut the timeless Christmas classics of Rankin-Bass with “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on FRIDAY, DEC. 6, at 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. EST/PST, respectively. Adding some friendly competition to your Christmas cheer, back-to-back installments of Freeform original holiday series “Wrap Battle” will air on MONDAYS at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. EST/PST, with the finale airing MONDAY, DEC. 9. Freeform also released its first-ever “25 Days of Christmas” jingle, featuring Freeform Santa and “Good Trouble” star Emma Hunton. Tenor Carl Tanner is in San Diego to sing Radames, the lead male role in Verdi's Aida, a role he's already sung 145 times before. We met to discuss his background and career just before he was due at a rehearsal. Tanner's is the most unlikely tenor in the history of opera.

Multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls today announced The Audience is This Way, a 10-track live album recorded on the band's recent tours. The Audience is This Way is due for release on July 21, 2018 via Warner Bros. Records and will be physically available as an exclusive limited edition black vinyl at indie-retail stores nationally as part of Record Store Day Crawl. There are only 3,000 copies made of this pressing. The album will also be available for digital download and streaming on August 24. 

The Artistic Home Ensemble will present the Chicago premiere of Lauren Gunderson's ADA AND THE ENGINE as the final entry in its three-play 2018-19 season, according to company Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra, who announced the season today. The 36-year-old Gunderson was the most-produced playwright in America during 2017, according to American Theatre Magazine.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC)made its spring announcement of 18 new shows added to the 2018-2019 season, continuing to showcase chart topping musicians, compelling dance companies, groundbreaking storytellers and authors and a wide range of holiday performances, all appealing to diverse audiences. Tickets for all shows go on sale first to LBC members on Monday, April 9 at 12 p.m. and then to the general public on Friday, April 20 at 12 p.m.

According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson will star in Taika Waititi's upcoming film JoJo Rabbit. The movie is the story of a young boy in Hitler's army who learns that his mom is hiding a Jewish boy in the house. Taika Waititi wrote and will direct the film and will also star as the boy's imaginary friend who is Adolf Hitler.

The Muny announced today that Tony and Grammy Award- winning artist Heather Headley and Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated artist Matthew Morrison will serve as co-hosts for The Muny's historic Centennial Gala show, An Evening with the Stars, May 18, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. at The Muny.

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.
