Sing for Hope has partnered with Puerto Rico-based theater collective Y No Habia Luz to bring art, hope, and essential materials to Puerto Rico in the midst of over 1,000 earthquakes felt in the first weeks of 2020.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents the Regional Premiere of Kunstler by Jeffrey Sweet, a revealing drama inspired by the real life and career of self-described a?oeradical lawyera?? and Civil Rights activist William Kunstler, who often took unorthodox approaches in the pursuit of justice. Called a?oeEye-openinga?? by The New York Times, this engaging play highlights Kunstler's most famous and controversial cases. Kunstler starts playing in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre February 19. Last year, exclusively and for the first-time ever, Travel Channel reopened the case files of America's first ghost hunter, Hans Holzer, revealing the original recordings and documents from the paranormal pioneer's renowned studies. Following a very successful first season of 'The Holzer Files' - which pulled in more than 5.8 million viewers - Travel Channel has announced a second season pickup. The series will return in late 2020 with 13 brand new episodes.

The Billie Holiday Theatre announced Cheryl West's Before It Hits Home, winner of the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, directed by Indira Etwaroo, Artistic Executive Director of The Billie with an original score by Daniel Bernard Roumain. Jeffrey Seller and FSCJ Artist Series announced today that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 24 at 8 a.m. (ET) in person at the Times-Union Center (300 Water Street) and 10 a.m. (ET) at fscjartistseries.org. Children's Theatre Company (CTC) has announced the world premiere production of Spamtown, USA, running February 16, 2020 through April 5, 2020, written by Philip Dawkins and directed by Will Davis. The playwright met with and interviewed 25 people who were children in the city of Austin, Minnesota during the P-9 Strike against Hormel in the 1980s to gather their stories and perspectives. The play explores how pivotal events that occurred during the strike affected relationships inside and between three families. While five kids dream of space camp, tennis teams, and out-of-state college, they find their families and community suddenly divided by picket lines and opposing agendas. This is the story of having the strength to stand up for what you believe in, the challenge that comes in disagreeing with those you love, and the humor that helps keep friendships alive.

City Farm Presents released show and lineup updates for the 3rd Brooklyn Podcast Festival which takes place January 22 - 26, 2020 in Brooklyn, New York. HAMILTON returns to The Buell Theatre August 12-October 4, 2020 as an added attraction to the 2019/20 season. Astonishing is a word some would use to describe something amazing they witnessed. In most cases and with most shows this word would suffice. However, what I saw on December 7th, 2020 at ASU Gammage does not just surpass this simple word, it stamps it into the ground. SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical is beyond any praise I could write in here and by far the must-see of 2020.

Soprano Jennifer Zetlan reprises the title role in the New York City premiere of composer Ricky Ian Gordon and Pulitzer Prize winning poet Frank Bidart's Ellen West in Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center at the PROTOTYPE Festival. In the summer of 2019, Zetlan portrayed Ellen in the world premiere of the opera in Saratoga Springs, in a performance hailed by critics as 'brilliant,' 'penetrating' and 'a tour de force.' The PROTOTYPE production will also star Metropolitan Opera baritone Nathan Gunn. Performances will run from January 14-19, 2020.
