Sobremesa is an intimate drama about sisterhood, memory and misogyny written by Agnes Perry-Robinson and directed by Felix Sutton, presented as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. On Alma's birthday, her sister Billie brings her new boyfriend to dinner, and as wine flows and conversations about religion, politics, money and sex grow heated, Alma becomes increasingly unsettled by the man across the table. The cast includes Alejandra Deane as Alma, Benjamin Sumrie as James, and Athena Vlachos as Billie, with music composed by Stephen Kilduff. The play asks how well we know the people we love and whether we should protect them from their own mistakes.
