Jane Eyre Convention is a fast-paced farce set at the world's first ever Jane Eyre Convention, where a group of slightly neurotic Bronte-aficionados gather to reenact scenes from their favourite novel. The enthusiasts squabble and fight over the best bits, conflict over authentic interpretations, and experience real emotions as they follow Jane on her journey, including wailing runs across the moors and attempts to rescue Bertha from the attic. The show blends humor, literary homage, and character studies, and has enjoyed sell-out runs at Lambeth Fringe and recent performances at the Bread and Roses Theatre in London. Theatre Caddis is a London-based theatre company known for staging new, eclectic work.
