Double Take at Underbelly Bristo Square, Dairy Room

Double Take is a wordless mime show combining hand puppetry, physical comedy, and a simple blackboard, weaving together eight short stories that invite audiences to look closer, think again, and delight in the unexpected. From the daily plight of a hungry snail to the Big Bang itself, each story is a miniature universe revealing the humour, drama, and intimacy of everyday life. Set to an atmospheric soundtrack by Jack McGuire (WetHands), this two-hander relies entirely on physical theatre and mime, making the audience's imagination its most powerful tool. Presented by Broken Box Mime Theater and Dutch Kills Theater Company, the revolving cast includes Tia Cassmira, Tasha Milkman, David Jenkins, Julia Cavagna, Kristin McCarthy Parker, Blake Habermann, and Ismael Castillo.
