Inspired by one of China's most notorious 20th century crime bosses, Du Yuesheng, and other larger-than-life underworld and cultural characters, Boom Boom Battle of the Big Bad Bosses is a fierce musical showdown blending rhythmic beats, vocal artistry, and body percussion. Five members of the Yat Po Singers with a Sheng artist reimagine legendary tales and epic rivalries as they duel for supremacy through voice, beatboxing, and movement, with each representing a different traditional Chinese instrument. Composed by Ng Cheuk Yin and directed by Yuri Ng, the cast includes Natalie Hung, Anna Lo, Ma Hin Yung, Alvin Mui, Ronald Tsang, and Loris Yue. The production weaves together Hong Kong's rich cultural tapestry with traditional and contemporary Chinese music and movement, pushing the boundaries of A Cappella into a high-octane theatrical experience.
