ARCADE is an immersive experience from DARKFIELD, created by artistic directors David Rosenberg and Glen Neath, returning to Pleasance Dome for its third year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Using the aesthetic of 1980s video games, the 30-minute show places audiences in complete darkness inside a shipping container, where they choose their own path through an interactive narrative exploring the relationship between players and avatars. The experience features DARKFIELD's signature 360-degree binaural sound and sensory effects. Since its sell-out premiere at Summerhall in 2024, ARCADE has played at BFI London Film Festival Expanded, Shoreditch Town Hall, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and the Lowry.
