Exciting times lie ahead for Cape Town's Celtic song group, Christine and The Kilts as they prepare to take part in the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival! In an attempt to raise funds to help them pay for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Christine and the Kilts are opting for crowdfunding in the form of a fundraising concert called KOEKSUSTERS AND KILTS, which will take place at Artscape at 20:00 on 20 March.

KOEKSUSTERS AND KILTS boasts a stellar line up of artists and performers: funny man Alan Committee will MC the evening, multi-award-winning comedian Rob van Vuuren will make a special guest appearance, Fleur du Cap winner Godfrey Johnson will entertain on song and piano, and bagpipers from the Cape Field Artillery led by Pipe Major Grant Sheffel as well as local Indie rock band Mobbing Bali will enthral the audience with their music.

All of these, as well as a dance performance by the Bergvliet Royal Scottish Country Dancing group, a bottle of Monkey Shoulder and Glenmorangie ten year whiskey up for raffle, and of course, a performance from the hosts, Christine and Kilts make KOEKSUSTERS AND KILTS a show not to be missed.

Tickets range from R150 to R500 depending on the size of the donation you wish to give to the Kilts, with bookings through Computicket. One lucky reader will win two tickets to the show - please email Christine Weir with the phrase "lucky ticket draw" in the subject line of your message.
