The Lealman Honey and Arts Festival, presented by Duke Energy, is an annual community celebration that brings together live music, local art, honey and pollinator education, food vendors, and small businesses in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Now in its fourth year, the festival has become a signature event for the Lealman community, designed to be accessible, inclusive, and free to attend, with free parking for all guests.

This year’s festival marks a major milestone as it serves as the grand opening celebration of Ray Neri Park following a ten million dollar renovation. The newly revitalized park represents a significant investment in public space and community well-being, and the festival provides residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the park as a vibrant gathering place for arts, culture, and connection.

Live music is a cornerstone of the festival experience, creating energy and shared enjoyment throughout the day. The event is headlined by Pirate Flag, recognized as the number one Kenny Chesney tribute band in the nation. Their full-band performance delivers high-energy country hits, crowd favorites, and singalong moments that bring people together and close out the festival on a high note. Supporting Pirate Flag is Pink Streets Music Band, a full ensemble performing a diverse mix of blues, rock, bossa nova, standards, and folk. Their dynamic set adds depth and variety to the musical program, keeping the festival lively from start to finish.

Art and creativity are central to the festival’s identity. Local artists and makers showcase original artwork, handcrafted goods, and functional art, transforming the park into an open-air gallery. Guests are encouraged to explore, engage with artists, and support local creatives, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to strengthening the local arts economy.

The honey component of the festival highlights the importance of pollinators and environmental awareness. Honey vendors and beekeepers offer products and information that connect attendees to the role bees play in ecosystems and food systems, blending education seamlessly into the festival experience.

Food vendors and a wide variety of local businesses round out the event, offering diverse options that appeal to all ages and tastes. The festival’s layout and programming encourage guests to stay, explore, and enjoy the park at their own pace, fostering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

With the support of Duke Energy and community partners, the Lealman Honey and Arts Festival celebrates local culture, supports small businesses and artists, and strengthens community pride. The event showcases how investment in public spaces and creative programming can bring people together and create meaningful, shared experiences for the Lealman community and beyond.
