Driving the Girls is a semi-autobiographical play by Cat Brooks set in 1990s Las Vegas. It follows Mary, an ambitious Black college theater student, who forms unlikely connections with a community of sex workers while navigating her final year in a city filled with challenges. The live reading is directed by Lisa Marie Rollins and features performances by Tanika Baptiste, Camille Collaço, Kennzeil Love, Jordan Maria Don, and May Simon Ramos, with stage directions by Amanda Le Nguyen. The play explores themes of dreams, humanity, and the complicated relationships between individuals often overlooked by society.
