Based on Kafka’s Short Story "A Report to an Academy" by George Charbak

TheatreInSearch is thrilled to announce its current production, "The Confessions of Red
Peter," based on Franz Kafka" short story "A Report to an Academy" Adapted and Directed by
George Charbak, the performance takes place at the Live Oak Theatre in Berkeley
throughout the month of April 2025.
"The Confessions of Red Peter" follows the story of an ape who has been captured and trained
to assimilate into human society. Through a series of confessions, Red Peter gives a lecture
about his transformation from ape to human.
Performance Dates:
Fridays and Saturdays April 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26, at 7:30pm.
