A site-specific, immersive production of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman. The show invites four audience members onstage to spell alongside six quirky, pubescent spellers vying for a single spot at the national spelling bee. Directed by SFSU students Taylor Eckstein and Jade Thomas, the production explores the awkwardness, ambition, and vulnerability of growing up. Presented by SF State REP, a student theatre collective handling all aspects of production.
