Novato Theater CompanyPresentsOUR TOWNWritten by Thornton WilderDirected by Michael BarrA soaring exploration of what it means to be human, revealing the extraordinary in ordinary lives and actions. January 24 - February 16, 2020Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm novatotheatercompany.orgThe Novato Theater Companys third show of its 100th season is Our Town by Thornton Wilder. Our Town received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938 and continues to be one of the most loved and performed plays in the world. While the play takes us to a small town in New Hampshire in 1901, that setting is translatable to any place or any time. Our Town attempts to find value in even the smallest events of our daily lives. As we witness the characters everyday unremarkable actions, we come to realize that the citizens of Grovers Corners are blind to the miracle of being alive until its too late. This timeless play offers us gratitude as a balm to these turbulent times.
