In a Memory Palace is a world premiere production by Theatre Nohgaku, co-produced with Theatre of Yugen and Kunoichi Productions, directed by Jubilith Moore. The production explores displacement — from elders dealing with flashes of the past to people forced to move far from their homes of origin — weaving together live music, masked performance, and video images. The cast includes Bay Area actors Nick Ishimaru and Ryan Marchand, with an original score by co-composers David Crandall and Kevin Salfen, costumes by Margaret Mitchell, and set design by Mikiko Uesugi.
