The Prince Part 2 at Central Works

The Prince Part 2 is the second half of a two-part, six-act world premiere written and directed by Artistic Director Gary Graves, tracing Machiavelli's rise as a political strategist, his dealings with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, his exile, and his attempt at redemption through his most famous writing. The production also features a darkly comic conspiracy involving the Cardinal of Florence, forming one continuous narrative of ambition, ideology, art, and survival. The cast includes Mark Farrell, Brennan Pickman-Thoon, Kevin Singer, Marah Sotelo, and Michael Ray Wisely. This production marks the 81st world premiere for Central Works, a Berkeley-based theater company closing at the end of its 36th season.
