Unique Derique Returns With FOOL LA LA: OVER THE RAINBOW At The Marsh

:April Fools' Day will mark the return of Bay Area's beloved Clown Prince of Fools, Unique Derique, in his zany extravaganza Fool La La! Over the Rainbow at The Marsh San Francisco. Featuring a sweet new bag of tricks, side-splitting physical comedy and a free 20-minute Hambone and juggling workshop after each performance, this all-ages show will leave audiences laughing and ready to spring through the season. Fool La La! Over the Rainbow will be presented 1pm Sundays April 1 - May 6, 2018 at The Marsh San Francisco Studio, 1062 Valencia St., San Francisco. American Conservatory Theater Presents Its 2018 Season Gala Honoring Carey Perloff

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and gala co-chairs Prisca Geeslin and Nancy Livingston are proud to announce A.C.T.'s 2018 Season Gala honoring Carey Perloff and her 25-year tenure as artistic director, taking place on Saturday, April 7 at San Francisco's Four Seasons Hotel (757 Market Street). Monterey Jazz Festival to Receive $35,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $25 million in grants as part of the NEA's first major funding announcement for fiscal year 2018. Included in this announcement is an Art Works grant of $35,000 to the Monterey Jazz Festival in support of the Monterey Jazz Festival's 2018 Commission Piece, to be composed and performed by Oscar Hernandez and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.

The Marsh San Francisco adds three free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign. This deeply moving and surprisingly funny work outlines Copeland's own struggles with depression and suicidal thought, and is presented at no cost to remove all barriers for those who may be struggling with depression themselves. Featuring humorous, poignant, and riveting insights, the solo show written by Copeland and directed by David Ford, will take place 5:30pm Sundays March 25 - April 29, 2018 (see exact schedule below), at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia Street. General admission for this performance is free, although reservations ($55-$100), are recommended. As PlayGround prepares for its 25th season, there's much to celebrate, including a recently-announced new two-year agreement with Actors' Equity Association for the Monday series and a season agreement that will ensure salaried positions for union members in every PlayGround production starting with the 2018 PlayGround Festival. At the core of these new agreements is PlayGround's commitment to providing a fair wage to all participating actors, union and non-union alike. PlayGround Board Chair Regina Guggenheim added, "This is a huge endeavor for an organization of PlayGround's size but one that we must take up, given the increasingly high cost of living in the Bay Area. Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors), currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary in continuous operation, has announced the full cast and creative team for the penultimate production of the 2017-2018 season: The Bay Area premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Saturday Night. Based on the play Front Porch in Flatbush by Julius J. Epstein and Philip G.
