Town Hall Theatre Announces Dynamic 2018/19 Season: Lost & Found

Town Hall Theatre Company (THT) is excited to announce four powerhouse productions for its 2018/19 Season: LOST & FOUND. Town Hall's LOST & FOUND Season opens with the Bay Area premiere of Lauren Gunderson's seriously smart comedy The Revolutionists; continues with Great Expectations, the West Coast premiere of Grace Childs Daly's high-energy adaptation of Dickens' beloved novel; followed by Brooklyn Bridge, a captivating play for the whole family by Melissa James Gibson; and closes with the sizzling musical farce Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, based on Pedro Almodovar's film, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics?by David Yazbek. Curran San Francisco Welcomes James Comey And Pete Souza As Part Of CURRAN: SHOW & TELL Series

Carole Shorenstein Hays announced that San Francisco's Curran theater will welcome Former FBI Director James Comey (Monday, April 23) and former White House photographer Pete Souza (Thursday, May 10) as part of Curran's popular SHOW & TELL series, featuring provocative, topical and entertaining one-night-only events. From the White House to the Great White Way, SHOW & TELL's all-star lineup also features some of the theater's most celebrated artists, including the writers and creative minds behind Soft Power, David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori (Thursday, May 17) and Broadway legend Patti LuPone (Friday, June 1). Additional SHOW & TELL events include heralded award-winning playwright and actress, recently of "Black Panther" fame, Danai Gurira and Tony Award-winning director George C. Ragged Wing Ensemble Presents A DIFFERENT LONG STRETCH OF EARTH

Ragged Wing Ensemble, known throughout the Bay Area for its original, ensemble-driven productions, presents A Different Long Stretch of Earth, an original play written by Addie Ulrey for Ragged Wing's core company (and directed by Amy Sass). Inspired by her work at the intersection of arts nonprofits and social justice as well as her fickle and persistent love of the Old West, Ulrey takes us into the contemporary American West where a group of characters wrestle with the mindsets and mythologies of our collective past and explore how they shape our ability to envision the future.

Curran San Francisco Announces Cast for the Bay Area Premiere of SOFT POWER

Today, Curran announced the cast of SOFT POWER, a play with a musical by David Henry Hwang (play and lyrics) and Jeanine Tesori (music and additional lyrics). SOFT POWER will make its Bay Area premiere at San Francisco's Curran theater (445 Geary Street), June 20 - July 8, 2018. Produced by Center Theatre Group, SOFT POWER comes to Curran after its world premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from May 3 through June 10, 2018. Tickets for SOFT POWER are currently only available to #CURRAN2018 subscribers. Single tickets will be announced at a later date.

A FATAL STEP Extends Through April At The Marsh

Due to popular demand, The Marsh San Francisco extends Jill Vice's solo show, A Fatal Step. Turning the tables on film noir tropes, Vice's 60-minute dramedy tells its shadowy tale not from the typical point of view of the hardboiled detective, but from that of the femme fatale. When Sarah's footing with her handsome podiatrist boyfriend is undermined by an archrival, she takes drastic steps to keep her man. The San Francisco Examiner praised Vice, noting "it's impossible to take your eyes off the animated actress," while the San Francisco Chronicle celebrated her performance declaring "Vice both does noir justice and impishly picks it apart." A Fatal Step, directed by Mark Kenward and developed with David Ford, will return for its extended run 8:00pm Thursdays and 8:30pm Saturdays March 24-April 28, 2018 at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia St., San Francisco.
