Broadway By the Bay continues their 2018 season with the rockin' Broadway smash, Million Dollar Quartet. In December 1956, in a small Memphis recording studio, four icons of music met-and had a jam-session that changed rock-n-roll forever. Broadway By the Bay invites music lovers of all ages to take their seats at the historic Fox Theater in downtown Redwood City as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins take to the stage for this story of a singular moment in rock-n-roll history, and a night of legendary music that lived on in infamy. Million Dollar Quartet runs for nine performances only beginning June 8, 2018. Tickets (ranging from $44-$66) are available by calling (650) 369-7770 or by visiting online at www.broadwaybythebay.org. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice.

"This season we're celebrating how music-from all genres and outlets-not only plays a part in our daily lives, but in our collective history" says Broadway By the Bay Executive Artistic Director Alicia Jeffrey, who is also helming the production as director. "In December, 1956, these four powerhouses of music-some of whom hadn't even hit their musical stride-happened to converge at in a recording studio in a single moment, under the watchful eye of the legendary Sun Studio creator Sam Phillips. That studio filled with huge personalities and healthy egos-and yet when music took over, they created magic. Million Dollar Quartet is an amazing opportunity for audiences ages 8 to 80 to experience some of the key songs that are at the very roots of rock-n-roll-"Blue Seude Shoes," "Fever," and of course, "Great Balls of Fire"-live and in the voice of those that makes them as thrilling today as they were 60 years ago."

Million Dollar Quartet originally opened on Broadway in 2010 and was an immediate hit, garnering standing ovations and Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Featured Actor. Broadway by the Bay's production features Rich Matli (Sam Phillips), Tarif Pappu (Carl Perkins), Nick Kenrick (Jerry Lee Lewis), Michael Perrie Jr. (Johnny Cash), Sam C. Jones (Elvis Presley), Sammi Hildebrandt (Dyanne), Lane Sanders (Fluke) and Daniel Murguia (Brother Jay).

With a book by Colin Escot and Floyd Mutrux, Broadway by the Bay's creative team for Million Dollar Quartet includes director / musical coordinator Alicia Jeffrey, scenic designer Kelly James Tighe, lighting designer Aaron Spivey, sound designer Jon Hayward, and costume designer Karina Chavarin. The technical team is led by technical director Patrik Hendrickson and the production is stage managed by Lauren Howry.
