ei8ght, the musical at North County Coastal

Ei8ht follows the Goldberg family and their community in a bustling village where the holiday spirit of Hanukkah has been overshadowed by commercialism and stress. Tali, the family's youngest daughter, is the only one who notices the joy has gone missing. Her brother, Adam, is consumed by studying for his Bar Mitzvah, her parents are swamped with work at their bakery, and her aunt and uncle are overworked at their toy shop. Tali feels isolated and disappointed until her Bubbe tells her that the miracle of Hanukkah isn't about the ancient story of a lamp's oil, but about the small moments of hope and connection found in everyday life. Tali takes this to heart and begins to inspire her family to slow down, share stories, and rediscover the simple joy of being together. Her actions create a ripple effect, and by the end, the family not only finds its way back to each other but also inspires the entire village to rekindle their own Hanukkah light.
