The Old Globe's 18th annual production of DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, starring J. Bernard Calloway in the title role, will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, tonight, November 7, through December 26 -- one week earlier than usual -- in order to give more San Diego families the chance to attend affordably priced performances. Cygnet Theatre Launches SEATS FOR SOLDIERS in Time for Veterans Day

Thanks to a new program launched by Cygnet Theatre, the holidays will be a bit brighter for area military and their families. SEATS FOR SOLDIERS provides free tickets to the classic holiday musical, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Adapted by Sean Murray with original score by Billy Thompson, this production is a re-imagined take on the original holiday classic featuring lively music, unique puppets and live sound effects.
SDSU and La Jolla Playhouse Collaborate on New Musical ON THE EVE; Reading Set for 11/19

The MFA Musical Theatre Program at San Diego State University is once again teaming up with La Jolla Playhouse to develop a new musical, following up on their collaboration on the reading of BD Wong's new musical MR. DOCTOR last February. This year, after a competitive selection process, the musical ON THE EVE has been chosen for a public staged reading at SDSU on November 19, 2015 at 6:30pm in the Experimental Theatre.

Actors' Conservatory Theatre Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

e award-winning Actors' Conservatory Theatre (ACT-San Diego, www.actsandiego.com) presents an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, with a 31 member youth and young adult cast. The production is Directed by Bernard Baldan, with Musical Direction by Desha Crownover and Choreography by Erin Petersen. Although La Voix hasn't performed in the US, she's well-known to American audiences from her many performances on Atlantis Cruises and in London. 'Diva Breakdown' will explore the minds of true legends; Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Cher and more analyzed, exposed, and satirically delivered, in her own spine-tingling vocals, by the international red-headed diva, La Voix.
