An Evening With Andrea McArdle Comes To Studio City, Palm Springs, And San Diego

An Evening with Tony Award Nominee Andrea McArdle is set for Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City on Thursday, October 11, at 7:30, The Purple Room in Palm Springs on Friday, October 12, at 8pm, and for Martinis Above Fourth in San Diego on Saturday, October 13, at 7pm, it was announced today by Chris Isaacson Presents.

McArdle's new show celebrates the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and contemporary music. Audiences will be taken on a musical journey filled with reminiscing and anecdotes about the legends McArdle has met and worked with and the songs that became the soundtrack of America. This vibrant evening will feature music by great composers like Peter Allen, Stephen Schwartz, Jerry Herman, Marvin Hamlisch, Harold Arlen, and many more.

Andrea McArdle first captured the hearts of theatergoers everywhere in 1977 when she originated the title role in the Broadway musical Annie. She became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical. She also received the Theatre World and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance. Since then, McArdle has starred in several Broadway musicals and appeared in theatres in New York, nationally, and internationally, in productions including Jerry's Girls, Starlight Express, State Fair, Les Misérables, and Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Other stage credits include Anything Goes, They're Playing Our Song, Mame, Hello Dolly!, Meet Me in St. Louis, Blood Brothers, Urinetown, The Fantasticks, Evita, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie Get Your Gun, Grease, Cabaret, and Gypsy. McArdle appeared in The Vagina Monologues off Broadway and on tour. She has performed in concert halls from Carnegie Hall to the Hong Kong Philharmonic and hotel showrooms in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Her film and television credits include Annie, Rainbow, The Leading Ladies of Broadway, All My Children, and the PBS special Andrea McArdle on Broadway.
