Playwrights' Revolution is a new play festival hosted by Capital Stage, showcasing staged readings of diverse works from emerging playwrights. After opening submissions for just one week, the festival reached its maximum submission limit of 350 entries. The selected finalists will have their works presented as staged readings August 12-15, 2026. Capital Stage continues to foster innovative theatre experiences that inspire and challenge audiences.

What is the late seating policy?
Due to the design of our theater, we cannot guarantee seating for late arrivals or for patrons who leave the theater during the performance. As a courtesy to our artists and our audiences, late arrivals will be seated in a suitable location and at the appropriate intervals by the House Manager, if possible.
