Flying Toward the Sun is a new musical about asylum seekers, with book by Bill Nabel, music by Neil Berg, and lyrics by Berg and Nabel, presented as a 29-hour reading directed by Joe Brancato. The cast features George Abud, Lee H. Alexander, Dan Hoy, Jonny Lee Jr., Gabrielle Mariella, Sharon Wheatley, and Paulina Yeung. Wendy Bobbitt Cavett serves as musical supervisor and arranger, with Matthew Stephens as musical director.
