Carmina Burana at Bishop McVinney Auditorium

Join the Providence Singers, a 90-voice concert choir, for Carmina Burana. This powerful choral masterwork by Carl Orff celebrates love, revelry, and the ever-turning wheel of fate. Its dramatic opening, “O Fortuna,” is one of the most recognizable pieces of classical music worldwide. You've heard it in movies, video games, and sporting events--it's the first of two songs played as the Patriots take the field at Gillette Stadium.

Directed by Dr. Christine Noel, the Providence Singers will perform the version for two pianos and percussion ensemble.
