It’s 1703 Florence, and Queen Lavinia, the fourth wife to King Augustus, has discovered an unsettling coincidence: When the King’s wives get painted by commission, they mysteriously die. Unfortunately for the Queen, Claude Andre-Giraud, (the most renowned artist in all of Europe), has just arrived to paint her portrait. She must now act quickly and stop the commission, or quite possibly suffer the dark fate of her predecessors. But when Thomas, the enigmatic house butler to the King, is insistent on the commission to happen, Queen Lavinia realizes there is something much more nefarious lurking beneath the surface.
A (modern-day) 18th-Century Love Farce.
