The Sword of Peace is a gripping historical drama set during the American Revolutionary War, exploring the moral struggles of the pacifist Quaker community amidst the chaos of battle. Written by William Hardy, this powerful play delves into themes of courage, conviction, and the enduring quest for peace in times of conflict.
Set against the backdrop of the Battle of Guilford Court House, the story follows the Quakers of Snow Camp as they navigate the upheaval brought by the arrival of British troops. Two days after the battle, these soldiers descend upon Snow Camp, taking over the home of Simon Dixon, a respected Quaker leader.
