All Shook Up

Get ready to shake things up! Lakewood Theatre Company is thrilled to kick off its 73rd season July 11 - August 17, 2025, with the music of Elvis Presley in All Shook Up.

The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll meets The Bard in a jukebox musical featuring 25 songs from the Elvis Presley songbook. Filled with laughs, love, and disguises, All Shook Up, with a book by Joe DiPietro, will have you jumpin’ out of your “Blue Suede Shoes” all night long.

The story: Inspired by the comedies of William Shakespeare, particularly Twelfth Night, the tale begins in 1955, when a guitar-playing stranger named Chad (Jackson Wells-Benitez) arrives in a small town on his motorcycle, sporting blue suede shoes. With a song in his heart, he roars through town, and soon everything will change. As expected, Boy meets Girl, and soon everyone can’t help falling in love. Mistaken identity, mismatched lovers, and the magic of romance come together in a free-wheeling rock and roll comedy.

All Shook Up features a nonstop musical romp with the legendary songs of Elvis Presley. The show includes such classics as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Teddy Bear,” “It’s Now or Never,” “Love Me Tender,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and “Burning Love” told in a whole new story. This hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy delivers a message about breaking free from societal expectations, opening up to love, and the joy of embracing change.

The Title Sponsor for All Shook Up is Samantha Richardson, the Directorial Sponsor is Bonnie Conger, and the Music Sponsor is The Portland Spirit.

Performances run from July 11 to August 17 with the following schedule: Thursdays to Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 2:00 PM, one Saturday (August 9) at 2:00 PM, and two Wednesday performances (July 30 and August 13) at 7:30 PM. The Lakewood Theatre Company features an intimate 220-seat theatre located at the Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.

Ticket prices are $50 for adults and $48 for seniors. Additional discounts are available for students and groups. For more information and tickets, call the Lakewood Box Office at (503) 635-3901 or order online at www.lakewood-center.org.
