Ode to Joy is the final Masterworks concert of the season, featuring a performance of Beethoven's Symphony no. 9 by the WSO and the Wheeling Symphony Chorus. The program also includes Brahms's Academic Festival Overture and Will Dixon's Les Belle de Lausanne; Dixon was a Black Wheeling native who achieved musical success in New York City whose history and legacy have largely been forgotten.
