STORM WARNINGS is three stories by three playwrights who weave words into lightening. Chekhov’s lesser-known, but equally thrilling, comedic work The Dangers of Tobacco will be presented with two award-winning Tucson authors’ short plays: Landfall by Michael Fenlason and Sniper by Gavin Kayner.
Anton Chekhov is an esteemed Russian playwright whose play The Dangers of Tobacco will delight all and surprise those who only know his longer and more profound work.
Michael Fenlason, currently Artistic Director at Beowulf Alley Theatre, is an accomplished playwright whose play The Red Book won Arizona Theatre Company’s New Play Prize. Landfall is a beguiling
combination of myth and reality that will tantalized and resonate long after the lights fade to black.
Gavin Kayner’s plays have won numerous awards and been produced locally to enthusiastic reviews and full houses. Sniper is his rumination regarding the effects of war/violence on the people we send into harm’s way. It’s right on target.
