Handel's Messiah at Camelback Bible Church

Handel’s Messiah, featuring period instruments: the complete work in all its power and majesty!

This well-loved work will be presented with Baroque instrumentalists from around the country. Arizona has not heard an authentic performance such as this in decades. Playing at Baroque pitch, these instruments will give an effervescence and balance with the choir that cannot be matched by modern instruments. The speed and agility of these players is amazing, especially when paired with the equally stunning hand-picked choir and soloists. While many performances of Messiah are limited to the Christmas portion and a few other favorite movements, this presentation will include the entire work in all its majesty and power. This musical feast will be presented at Camelback Bible Church, with both superb acoustics and excellent views throughout. Instrumentalists include concertmaster Stephen Redfield and principal Elizabeth Blumenstock. Vocal soloists include Nina Cole Garguilo, Holly Sheppard, Paul Nicosia, and Derek James Stull.
