Our Country's Good presents an engaging narrative set in early colonial Australia in 1789, where English prisoners face harsh conditions. As a young lieutenant, played by David Richardson, directs the first play staged in the country, themes of punishment, justice, and the transformative power of the arts come into focus. Directed by Taylor Harlow, the production features a diverse cast including Dominic Corcoran, Adam Tornielli, and Nina Koripella. This adaptation of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s work examines the potential of theater to provide purpose and community amidst dehumanization.
