One of the theatre’s most beloved figures, Cyrano de Bergerac is brilliant, brave, and convinced he is unworthy of love. When the woman of his dreams falls for a handsome but tongue-tied soldier, Cyrano nobly sacrifices his own chance to win her love by providing the soldier with poetic expressions of adoration to woo her. Hilariously swashbuckling and heartbreakingly romantic, this crackling translation of Rostand's 1897 classic is the work of Villanova's own award-winning playwright Michael Hollinger, which the Philadelphia Inquirer hailed as “funny, touching, pathetic, kinetic – a joy to watch.”
