A League of Their Own evokes the spirit of Penny Marshall's classic, while taking a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it. The series stars Roberta Colindrez (Fun Home), Molly Ephraim (Into the Woods), and more.

Primary Stages will present the New York premiere of Motherhood Out Loud, conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein. Directed by Lisa Peterson, the cast will feature Mary Bacon, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Randy Graff and James Lecesne. On press day, August 23, the cast spoke to Givenik about the new show. The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin previews Saturday, September 12 for the first production of the 2009-2010 Season, OTHELLO, directed by Peter Sellars. This highly-anticipated contemporary production, featuring John Ortiz as Othello and Philip Seymour Hoffman as Iago, will play for 23 performances only at NYU Skirball Center.
