Canadian Opera Company has released rehearsal footage of BLUEBEARD'S CASTLE/ERWARTUNG, a pair of one-act psychological thrillers now playing through May 16, 2026 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.

The Canadian Opera Company has released a first look trailer for its upcoming double bill of Bluebeard's Castle and Erwartung, directed by acclaimed Canadian stage director Robert Lepage.

Coriolanus is now streaming through May 21, as part of the Stratford Festival's online film festival. Stratford Festival Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino interviewed Robert Lepage about directing Shakespeare's Coriolanus.

Robert Lepage will make his Stratford debut directing Coriolanus, featuring Andre Sills in the title role. A veteran of the Birmingham Conservatory and four seasons at Stratford, Mr. Sills has been at the Shaw Festival most recently, with leading roles in 'Master Harold'... and the Boys and An Octoroon. The production will also feature Graham Abbey as Tullus Aufidius, Michael Blake as Cominuis, Tom McCamus as Menenius Agrippa, Stephen Ouimette as Junius Brutus, Lucy Peacock as Volumnia and Tom Rooney as Sicinius Velutus.

Jazz legend Miles Davis travels to Europe in 1949 to discover the pleasures of Paris, unlock his creativity, and find his heroine in Juliette Greco. At the same time, French filmmaker Jean Cocteau embarks on his own opium-fueled journey to New York. Individually, the stories are thrilling and heartbreaking, but what elevates this production is the extraordinary storytelling.
