Go inside the first day of rehearsals for The Shakespeare Theatre's A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER! Filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs, Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak's 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical is based on the 1907 novel The Autobiography of a Criminal and the 1949 film Kind Hearts and Coronets, starring Sir Alec Guinness.

Tony Award Winner and Disney Legend Lea Salonga will make a special appearance as the host of CollaborAzian's production of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder on July 15th, 2021. The abridged version of Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak's musical is directed by Sesame Street's Alan Muraoka and features an all-Asian American cast and production team. Today we rewind to 2013, when A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder was getting ready for Broadway. The musical premiered at Hartford Stage before arriving at the Walter Kerr Theatre, where it played for 905 performances.

Hartford Stage will present The Flamingo Kid, which closes the 2018-19 season. Performances for The Flamingo Kid begin on Thursday, May 9, and run through Sunday, June 9.

The Kleban Foundation just presented the 28th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tie between Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, and the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel.

The 2017-2018 National Tour of the Tony Award winner for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, produced by NETworks Presentations, tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical played its final performance on the Great White Way last night, Sunday, January 17, 2016. In honor of the production's acclaimed run, the cast of the 'GGLAM' tour took it upon themselves to send the D'Ysquith of Broadway off with a tribute of TITANIC proportions. Check it out below!

To mark the occasion of Jefferson Mays' 6,000th death in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, the production held a funeral procession down West 48th Street, as cast members and fans, all dressed in mourning attire, followed Mr. Mays, lying in state inside a glass-sided horse-drawn hearse, to the Walter Kerr Theatre stage door. The New York Times writes that Steven Lutvak, who composed the music for Broadway's A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, had given up on having a family until he met Michael T. McGowan. Pinkham is the co-founder of an organization called Zara Aina (meaning 'Share Life') which brings theatre to at-risk children in Madagascar.
