The indomitable and generous spirit of the theatre community - those onstage, backstage and in the audience - shined brightly as the 29th annual Gypsy of the Year competition celebrated six weeks of fundraising work of 56 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Gypsy of the Year (#GypsyOfTheYear), which was held December 4 and 5, 2017, raised a record-breaking $5,609,211 for Broadway Cares. Check out highlights from the show below!

The Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.) Benefit titled Sondheim 5, took place June 18th at Beverly Hills' beautiful Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in benefit of AIDS Project Los Angeles.  The much anticipated event, was once again directed by David Galligan.  Michael Orland served as Musical Director, with Choreography by Lee Martino; and BroadwayWorld TV's own Michael Sterling was on hand to talk to the stars just prior to their first of two performances.

The original cast and band of Sting's musical The Last Ship reunited on the 54 Below stage earlier this week to celebrate their run with an eclectic evening themed around seafaring songs. Currently playing at London's Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical is Broadway-bound in 2013. MATILDA THE MUSICAL begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 2013 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Deadline has revealed an exclusive trailer for Michael Eisner's Vuguru and BermanBraun new comedy web series GREETINGS FROM HOME that premieres on AOL on October 1. The series is directed by jared Drake and written by Bill Rosenthal, Bill Masters, and Michael Davidoff. BermanBraun's Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun executive produced. Check out the clip below!
