Previews are underway for Roundabout Theatre Company's world premiere of the new musical Scotland, PA , which opens officially on Wednesday, October 23. This will be a limited engagement at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). The new musical features a book by Michael Mitnick, music & lyrics by Adam Gwon, directed by Lonny Price and choreographed by Josh Rhodes.

Last night The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. The one-night-only benefit performance, directed by Diane Paulus, took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall.

Ghostlight Records has released the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn in digital formats today, Friday, June 2. The CD version will be available online and in stores on Friday, July 21. The album will feature a 16-page full color booklet with a synopsis and liner notes from Ted Chapin, President of Rodgers & Hammerstein, an Imagem Company. After a smash-hit run at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, HAIR returned to Broadway for the first time in over 30 years. The story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era, HAIR is a timeless portrait of a movement that changed the world. Its groundbreaking rock score paved the way for some of the greatest musicals of our time. Now, the 'Age of Aquarius' dawns again in this jubilant new production directed by Diane Paulus, with choreography by Karole Armitage. HAIR features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, and music by Galt MacDermot.

This Thursday's show included a performance by the Broadway-bound cast of Holiday Inn. Cast members for the event included,  Corbin Bleu, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence and Bryce Pinkham performing the numbers, 'Cheek to Cheek', 'Shaking the Blues Away', and 'Blue Skies.'

The complete cast, all-star band and crew of HAIR (a total company of 50) traveled to Los Angeles to give a performance from the Tony Award-winning musical on NBC's 'The Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien' on their day off, Monday, July 13th.
