Dave Malloy made an exciting announcement on Shotgun Players' 2020 Sassafras Virtual Gala! He announced that Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 will have its West Coast premiere as part of Shotgun's spring 2021 season.
Emojiland has officially opened off-Broadway! The new musical will run through Sunday, March 8, 2020 at The Duke on 42nd Street in New 42nd Street Studios (229 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues). What's the new show all about? 'We know what people are saying. We know that people hear 'Emojiland the Musical' and go... huh? We're kind of counting on that,' explains star Leslie Margherita. 'We want people to come and have their minds changed. I loved the message of this musical about being inclusive, and that people aren't what they are at their face value.'

In the wake of the show's closing, the young star has released a short film titled, 'One Last Time' depicting one final trip to Broadway's Imperial Theater.

The company has kissed their last gypsy lovers and Andrey is finally here, the only thing left is to say goodbye. The 2017 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 19 categories, with three honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by actor and comedian Taran Killam. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund.
