The Broadway and LGBTQ communities are coming together to celebrate bringing open relationships out of the closet with a dance film short! In the film you will see a gay couple sharing their lives with multiple partners in a joyful and harmonious way. The approach to the film is light, playful and even humorous at times while still honoring the depth and heart of the content.
“Doctor Sleep” continues the story of Danny Torrance, 40 years after his terrifying stay at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson and newcomer Kyliegh Curran star in the supernatural thriller, directed by Mike Flanagan, from his own screenplay based upon the novel by Stephen King.

Beloved Broadway shows were stripped down, sexied up and given a Broadway Bares twist at this year's edition of Broadway Bares Fire Island. Inspired by some of the theatre's greatest hits and set to pop music, the evening brought Broadway style to classic striptease. Twenty-six of New York City's best dancers came together in Fire Island Pines on June 3, 2017, and raised a record-breaking $56,533 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. One of the evening's performances was the story of "The Ugly Duckling" called 'Ugly Duckling (It Gets Better)' set to Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way', which took on bullying as Brandon Rubendall helped Adar Wellington embrace both her inner and outer beauty in a moving piece choreographed by Nick Kenkel. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, next summer, following the 2012 Tony Awards, the first ever Broadway cruise will embark to Bermuda from the Big Apple. Crusie guest star Gavin Creel introduced the big event to you several weeks ago on BroadwayWorld, and recently we caught up with the cruise's director, Michael Lee Scott, and musical director, Seth Rudetsky.
