Today we rewind to 2018, for a recent US tour of the holiday classic White Christmas.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at the Broadway-bound production of Cagney, based on the life of Academy Award® winner James Cagney, launches Pioneer Theatre Company's (Artistic Director, Karen Azenberg & Managing Director, Chris Massimine) season this Fall. David Perlman - who plays Ralph Sheldrake, the sometimes manipulative, always cunning television producer in Irving Berlin's White Christmas - admits he may have been a tad 'aggressively inspirational' recently when it came time to persuade his castmates and company cohorts to take part in a pet project that ultimately became a labor of love and yuletide revelry for the lot them.

The new national tour of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the acclaimed stage adaptation of the beloved classic film, kicks off November 6 in Waterbury, Conn. at The Palace Theater. The production will be traveling to Knoxville, Newport, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Providence, Rochester and Schenectady during the 2015 holiday season. The journey from the 21st Century back to Hollywood's glamourous golden age is an inspiring one when your "tour guides" are the legendary Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire - portrayed by Darien Crago and Jeremy Benton in Westchester Broadway Theatre's production of Lynnette Barkley and Christopher McGovern's Backwards in High Heels: The Ginger Musical, running August 13-September 20.

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, concludes its 45th Anniversary Season with the New York premiere of the new musical, Cagney, with book by Peter Colley and music & lyrics by Robert Creighton and Christopher McGovern. Performances begin Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 21, 2015 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). What better way to commemorate the 100th birthday of one of the nation's most storied theaters - The Shubert Theater in New Haven, Connecticut - than with a special video starring the national company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the first show to take the stage in the theater's centennial year?

On Friday night, September 12, director Eric Ulloa and Music Director John McDaniel presented an all-star Broadway cast in 'Rise, Rise, Rise' a tribute to the late Elaine Stritch at 54 Below, singing the songs that made Stritch famous and told the stories that made her infamous. Amas Musical Theatre and The Countess of Storyville, present a developmental workshop of the new musical by Martin Silvestri (music), Joel Higgins (lyrics) and R.M. Cohen (book). This epic story of lust, love, mystery and murder will begin performances on February 12, 2014 at The Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) and continue through February 15. Lynne Taylor-Corbett directs. The rousing musical Irving Berlin's CALL ME MADAM will play the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, July 24-28. Starring Broadway darling Beth Leavel (Mrs. Sally Adams), this golden age treasure is inspired by Oklahoma City's own international socialite and ambassador Perle Mesta.
