There is a revolution happening on Broadway! Roundabout Theatre Company and the American Repertory Theater's new Broadway production of 1776, directed by Jeffrey L. The performance included Crystal Lucas-Perry as 'John Adams,' Gisela Adisa as 'Robert Livingston,' Nancy Anderson as 'George Read,' Becca Ayers as 'Col. The Old Globe welcomes Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, making his musical directing debut with RAIN, a sumptuous world premiere musical by one of the most significant teams working in theatre today: composer and lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and book writer Sybille Pearson. Based on the short story by Somerset Maugham, RAIN will play now through May 1, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Milioti shared her belief that it is the play's honesty which has created such a strong response from audiences. 'It's not a fairytale,' explains the actress, 'that makes it very relatable.'
