Callum Francis and the Off-Broadway cast of Kinky Boots appeared on The TODAY Show this morning to perform 'Land of Lola.' The were introduced by the musical's creators, Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein. Watch videos of the performance and the interview now!

The Off-Broadway engagement of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots began performances at Stage 42 on July 26th and will open tonight, August 25th. Kinky Boots features 16 original songs by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell.  Check out photos and video below! 

Kinky Boots released a sneak peek into their rehearsal room as they prepare to return to the stage beginning on July 26th at off-Broadway’s Stage 42. The video features a behind the scenes look as the company prepares to put the boots on once again, as well as interviews with select company members about the show’s impact and the journey of bringing the uplifting story back to NYC.   

Kinky Boots recently teamed up with NYC's Youth Pride Chorus for a special performance at Broadway for Arts Education's silent disco event! They reworked the words to “Everybody Say Yeah,” to “Everybody Say Gay” to protest the “Don’t Say Gay Bill.”

The Barn held its next virtual concert, The Barn Presents: The Music of Finn Anderson, on May 23. West End meets the West Country as another all-star West End and Broadway line-up celebrate the music and work of Scottish musical theatre composer and singer-songwriter Finn Anderson.

Today in 1903, The Wizard of Oz opened at the Majestic Theatre, where it ran for 293 performances. Based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, which was originally published in 1900, much of the original music was by Paul Tietjens and has been mostly forgotten, although it was still well-remembered and in discussion at MGM in the late 1930s, when the classic film version of the story was made. The main plot of the show, as recounted in newspapers of the time, is Pastoria's attempts to regain the throne from the Wizard of Oz. The original protagonists' search for the Wizard puts them on the wrong side of the law. Since then, many new incarnations have been created, including the 1939 film, and the 2011 West End musical.

Danielle Hope performed her first cabaret show at The Delfont Room on June 26. Amongst many highlights of the evening was a Disney medley, much to the audience's excitement. She sang songs from classics like Cinderella as well as from modern Disney movies like Tangled. As would be expected, she received rapturous applause for her cabaret debut. And then in the audience of fans, friends, and industry were Michael Crawford, her Wizard in the Wizard of Oz, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, and others.
