A few weeks ago over at Broadway Sessions we were joined by an incredible lineup of artists for our Black History Month Celebration! It was an amazing night full of beautiful moments from everyone involved. Performers included Nikki James (Tony Award-Winner), Olivia Donalson (Aladdin), Arica Jackson (Head Over Heels), Laurissa 'Lala' Romain (South Pacific), Kathryn Allison (Wicked), Brennyn Lark (Les Miserables), Antoine Smith (MJ The Musical), Brynn Williams (Spongebob), Carmen Ruby Floyd (Hello Dolly), Joy Woods (Little Shop Of Horrors), Olutayo Bosede (Moulin Rouge), Crystal Joy (Motown), Salome Smith (Little Shop Of Horrors), L. Steven Taylor (The Lion King), Imari Hardon (Avenue Q), Anthony Chatmon (Be More Chill), Ayana George (MJ The Musical), Anastacia McClesky (Waitress), Christiani Pitts (King Kong), Jay McKenzie (Beautiful).

Offering "Everything Changes" from the musical Waitress, with music and lyrics by recording artist Sara Bareilles ("Love Song"; "Brave"; "King of Anything"), Tony and Grammy award-nominated Michael McElroy and BIV release the tenth video in this series May 5th.

The world premiere production of MARLEY, the first original musical based on both the life and music of Bob Marley, began rehearsals March 24 at Center Stage, the State Theater of Maryland. MARLEY is now running through June 14. Check out scenes from the Penn and North concert below!

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL's "Jackson 5," led by Raymond Luke Jr. as Michael Jackson, visited Wendy Williams' hit daytime show for a live performance of a medley of Jackson 5 songs and to give Wendy some advice for her upcoming Broadway debut in Chicago. Check out their performance and interview below!

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL's 'The Contours,' led by Broadway triple threat Eric LaJuan Summers, visited Katie Couric's new nationally syndicated afternoon talk show 'Katie' for a special performance of the Motown hit song 'Do You Love Me,' and to teach America's sweetheart 'The Mashed Potato!' MOTOWN THE MUSICAL's Tony Award nominated leading lady Valisia LeKae, who stars in the new hit musical based on the life of Motown founder Berry Gordy, recently sat down with NBC's "The Grio" host Chris Witherspoon for a special segment on portraying the legendary Diana Ross for the first time ever on a Broadway stage and playing to standing ovations in the biggest box office hit of the season. MOTOWNGo behind the scenes of the hit new Broadway show MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. WNBC will air a thirty minute "making of" special this Saturday, May 18that 7:00PM, featuring interviews with the stars and creative team, as well as exclusive opening night and backstage footage from the show. Tune into WNBC Channel 4 in the New York metropolitan area.

With MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL less than two weeks away from starting previews, the cast posed for an extensive photo shoot. In this video, the stars not only don the costumes and pose, but they also discuss about this 'magical' show, including what it takes to become their characters, and how this show is 'Motown authentically on Broadway.'

Signature Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning musical Dreamgirls, playing in the MAX Theatre now running through January 13, 2013. Directed and choreographed by Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Xanadu, Really Really), this much-loved show captures the heart and hopes of a soulful female singing trio as they rise to international fame. The national touring production of MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, kicked off on October 16, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN (203 South Main Street) where it will play through October 23. Check out highlights from the tour below!
