Last night the West End revival of Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat played to a full capacity audience at the London Palladium for the very first time, having begun socially distanced previews at the iconic venue on 12 July.

The first West End production of Chess since 1986 stars Michael Ball as Anatoly, Alexandra Burke as Svetlana, Cedric Neal as The Arbiter, Tim Howar as Freddie, Cassidy Janson as Florence and Phillip Browne as Molokov. Since she scored a massive Christmas number one hit with her cover of Hallelujah, she's been out of the spotlight, busy recording her debut album. The album will be called Overcome and its title track is one of a few songs which have leaked so far, a big ballad that will please anyone hoping for Alex to be the new Leona Lewis.
