Hartford Stage has announced the cast and creative team of A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas. The holiday classic returns after a three-year hiatus, with original director Michael Wilson, who also adapted the play from Charles Dickens' novel, at the helm.

Casting for the final three weeks of American Ballet Theatre's 2023 Summer season at the Metropolitan Opera House was announced today by Artistic Director Susan Jaffe. 

American Ballet Theatre returns to the Metropolitan Opera House with four stories of love for its 2023 Summer season, June 22–July 22. The season will feature the New York Premiere of two-time Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon's Like Water for Chocolate, as well as full-length classics Giselle, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet.  General public on sale for ABT's 2023 Summer season begins on Monday, April 24 at 12:00 P.M. at the Metropolitan Opera House box office. 

Continuing to bring world class dance to the stages of the National Cultural Center, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2023–2024 dance season. Being at the forefront of responding to the moment, today’s artists and companies are challenging the frame of storytelling, shifting the boundaries of what movement can be, and showcasing the dynamic form in a multitude of ways blurring the lines between classical and contemporary. Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) is offering two sensory-friendly performances of its holiday classic, The Nutcracker, this year.  The relaxed performances will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 16 and Tues., Dec. 27. These family-inclusive and sensory-friendly  events are for all audiences, including children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities or other individualized needs.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) will offer more than six different Nutcracker-themed programs for children of all ages throughout November and December.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's (PBT) holiday classic, The Nutcracker will take the stage Dec. 9-28 at the Benedum Center. This is the 20th year that Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will be performing The Nutcracker based on the choreography and concept by former PBT Artistic Director Terrence S. Orr. The annual production also features Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's classic score as well as costume and set designs by Emmy-winning designer Zack Brown.

The curtain is about to come up on Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s premiere performance of 'The Nutcracker' this year – and the first live performance of this beloved production in two years. The triumphant return of this treasured family holiday tradition starts at 7 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 10, kicking off a three week run of the most popular ballet of the year.

The three-week run includes a sensory-friendly performance for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities or other individualized needs at 2 p.m. Fri., Dec. 17.

The ABT Studio Company Spring Festival was filmed at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, New York following the Studio Company’s spring bubbles in March and April 2021 at Kaatsbaan and the Silver Bay YMCA Conference & Family Retreat Center in Silver Bay, New York. All works were created, rehearsed, and filmed following strict COVID-19 health and safety protocols.  

San Francisco Opera's weekly, free opera streams continue in April with Donizetti's Don Pasquale (April 3–4), The Fall of the House of Usher double bill featuring one-act operas by Gordon Getty and Claude Debussy (April 10–11) and Verdi's Don Carlo (April 17–18).
