The 2021 National Theatre School of Canada's (NTS) Gascon-Thomas Awards ceremony will be presented online this Friday, March 19, at 6 P.M.

Jenrette will share the story of a young Black girl who goes on a journey to combat obesity and free herself from her family’s “big boned” label. Kessler will explore obesity in comedy and speak to some of today’s biggest comedians about the weight of being overweight.

Fifty high school acts will move on to the Semi-final round of the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation's (FoxPACF) 11th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition on Sunday, February 28, 2021. These acts will vie to be finalists and compete onstage at The Fabulous Fox Theatre for $50,000 in scholarships and prizes.

This spring Nightwood Theatre and Native Earth Performing Arts are honoured to present Embodying Power and Place, curated by Donna-Michelle St. Bernard and New Harlem Productions. In 2019, the federal commission on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls released their final report, Reclaiming Power and Place.

Climate Change Theatre Action will return in 2021 for its fourth iteration. A worldwide series of readings and performances of short plays about the climate crisis, CCTA 2021 will take place from September 19 to December 18 to coincide with the United Nations 26th Conference of the Parties (COP 26).

On February 27th, Master Teacher Richard Lawson will be joined by director Trey Haley. Twenty actors will be given the opportunity to have their self-tape auditions assessed and redirected by Mr. Lawson and Mr. Haley. Classes take place Saturday mornings at 10 AM PST via Zoom.
