The European premiere of HEATHERS - THE MUSICAL smashed The Other Palace box office records when it went on sale last week becoming the biggest on-sale in the history of The Other Palace. The musical premieres at The Other Palace on 9 June and runs for a limited 8-week season.

Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman) and Langley Park Productions (Kevin McCormick) announced today that the new musical comedy Beetlejuice will make its world premiere in a Pre-Broadway engagement at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. in October 2018. Directed by two- time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Peter and the Starcatcher) and choreographed by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom), Beetlejuice features an original score by Eddie Perfect (King Kong) and a book by Scott Brown and Emmy Award nominee Anthony King (Broad City).

Pen Parentis Literary Salon welcomes all lovers of literature to come hear from three established authors Min Jin Lee, Jamie Brenner, and Patty Dann. The theme of February's Literary Salon is Secrets. They will read from new works and discuss how they balance a career in poetry with an active young family at home. The Walmart AMP has announced another addition to the 2018 Cox Concert Series. Grammy-nominated comedian, actor and best-selling author, Jim Gaffigan, will perform at the Walmart AMP on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Gates open at 6 pm, and the show starts at 8 pm.

Syracuse University's Department of Drama presents The House of the Spirits, an adaptation of Isabel Allende's novel written by playwright Caridad Svich. Svich's adaptation is a theatrical response that works to capture the feel of Allende's magical realism. The House of the Spirits opens on Nov. 11 in the Storch Theatre at the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St. A preview performance is on Nov. 10.
